♟️ Ford Focus Outside Temperature Sensor Problems

Jun 22, 2019 · 2000 ford focus SE: the air intake temp sensor, I..wire harness I have a 2000 ford focus SE, and I need to know which two wires go to the air intake temp sensor, I want to replace it with an after market temp sensor.

Jan 13, 2011 · I think checking the temperature feedback itself is your best bet. If I recall, that sensor is plugged into a sub-harness that is snaked around the intake manifold and I believe is connected to the injectors, as well as the low-oil level sensor. Definitely check the sensor-to-harness connection.

Jul 12, 2013 · Don't compare the temp with an app. Use a thermometer known to be accurate. The temp seems to jump in 2 degree increments at times. The refresh rate is also very slow. If it's more than 5 degrees off and it wasn't parked, there may be an issue with the sensor. These are just not great systems also.

The frost/ice/snowflake light is showing red all the time on the new unit. It should only be red when the external temperature is at or below freezing, but it's obviously a lot warmer than that at the moment
